You know those moments where life catches you off guard and just a glimpse of something can take your breath away and before you know it you have tears in your eyes. I had one of those moments today in a small pale blue and dimly lit hospital room. While laying on my back, belly covered in goo, a perfect silhouette flashed on the large TV sized flat screen in front of me. The ultrasound tech hurried to move the wand back to the sweet spot, but it didn’t matter Luke, Maddy and I had already seen it. And the tears came. Seeing grainy black and white images of our baby feels so magical. This little baby that was already so loved has cemented their standing in our little family with just a glimpse of it’s sweet face.
We are enchanted and excited.
We’re having a girl and she is so loved.
She doesn’t have a name yet, but she already has a brand new dress. Maddy and I just couldn’t resist.
