You know you might be a little “old” when you get have an overnight babysitter for your child and both you and your husband are excited because you’ll be able to use the whole night to work on your websites.
Well, I guess you also know you are a little geeky and boring too.
I have been working on my move to WordPress behind the scenes for a while now and I’ve reached the point when most of what is left to do comes after the final move of posts and the redirecting of URL’s so tonight for my date night I will be working on getting Evolving Mommy up and running over at my WordPress home and Luke will be working on the finishing touches of to get his new photography website up and going, and hopefully helping me since even though he might disagree he’s pretty much the equivalent of my IT guy.
What’s more romantic than take out Indian food, pajama pants and working the night away in front of computer screens in different rooms? Oh hell, maybe I’ll spice it up a bit and sit in the same room as my husband with the laptop. I’ll sacrifice my usual spot, and comfort, at the kitchen table to sit on the bed in Luke’s office and I’ll do it all in the name of love.
What can I say we are so romantic.
So what are your exciting plans for the Friday night?
P.S. In the process of the move funny things may happen around here so please don’t freak out, everything will go back to “normal” soon enough…I hope.

Glad the move is almost done….hey a hot and heavy cram night seems good to me……have fun!
I’m enjoying it so far!
Now that's what I need to find – a man who can help me with HTML when the going gets tough.
Sadly Luke played dumb until recently…when he started working on building his own website. He can’t play dumb anymore and now I have him right where I want him. Actually he has been a huge help through the transition so far.
Ohhhh! I wouldn't waste a night with a babysitter on the computer. Then again, my kiddos let me "play" on the computer any time, so it is not a rarity. Time away with my husband is!!!

Well Lindsay, if I had five kiddos I think I would completely agree with you, but we manage to get “couple time” fairly often having only one child and lots of family nearby so I’m really enjoying my night on the computer tonight and I think Luke is too.
At least this way I can cross one more thing off my to do list! Yay!
I love the new site. All that effort was well worth it. You should be very proud of yourself. I love the photos at the top of the page it pretty much sums you up but you are missing the pic of you tucking into something chocolatie and decadent.
Thanks Gillian. I am still doing some things here and there but it feels good to have the move out of the way.
You have a good point about the pictures as I was eating a delicious Pot de Chocolate from Whole Foods last night while trying to get things figured out.

This is about as exciting as hubby and my date nights are too. I would appreciate an actual date night on occassion though. Glad the move went well. When Luke’s site is up and running send me the link so I can check it out.
