What is Evolving Motherhood?

Evolving Motherhood is a lifestyle blog covering a range of topics. Mothering is no easy job and Evolving Motherhood strives to be a great resource for every mom trying to do her best to take care of her family while still taking care of herself. Life, and motherhood, is what you make if it and Evolving Motherhood readers know the power lies in their hands and that every second of every day is a chance to grow and learn.

Who is Catherine?

Hi I’m Catherine, The Evolving Mommy.  I’m so glad you stopped by. I am the lucky mom to two sweet girls, and wife to an amazing guy. The four of us make up The Evolving Family. I’m a Colorado native happily located in Northern Colorado. We frequent the mountains and farmer’s markets in the summer and watch a lot of football in the winter.

I love social media. Blogging helped me through those awkward early years of being a stay at home mom. Blogging helps me grow everyday. I’ve made good friends and had wonderful opportunities to create and share on my site and many sites across the internet because of blogging.

 

Some important things to know about me?

I believe in kindness.

I believe in learning. I believe books are the bomb, and libraries are the coolest. 

I believe in breakfast. With coffee and bacon.

I believe orange is the best color, and mint chip is the best ice cream flavor. Obviously.

I believe in holding hands, hugs, and saying “I love you.”

I believe in cooking. I believe in real food. I believe in family dinners eaten around the dinner table.

I believe creativity is a muscle and needs to be flexed often.

I believe there is no problem a taco can’t solve.

I like to think of motherhood as a journey or sorts. A learning experience. Some might even say it’s a jungle and survival depends on constant evolution. I’m not perfect. I’m just working to find balance. Balance between being a mom and being Catherine. Loving to cook and loving to eat out. My sweet tooth and healthy eating. Enjoying a good early morning workout and loving sleep and wanting to be the most perfect supermom ever and just trying to keep up with my daughters. It’s all about balance mixed with a little bit of give and take. It is my hope with the aid of Evolving Motherhood to continue to grow and evolve as a person, to always strive to be a better mom tomorrow than I am today and to one day find the time to take a nap.

I’m thrilled to take this journey through the jungle of motherhood with you. Hopefully we’ll learn a few things and have a few laughs along the way.
