Here is a quick way to add some flavor to dinner. This Soy Garlic Marinade is very versatile and works well on Salmon (pictured below), steak, pork chops and chicken and those are just the things we have tried it on. The great thing about this marinade besides how easy it is to make is that the amount of time needed for marinating is flexible. If you only have time for 15 minutes of marinating you will still get good flavor. The following recipe will be enough for 4-6 servings of whatever meat you are preparing.
As always feel free to experiment. I love to hear about your thoughts and changes too!
1/3 cup soy sauce
2 garlic cloves minced
2 teaspoons dried tarragon
3 tablespoons olive oil
black pepper to taste
Mix ingredients together in a shallow dish with enough space for the meat (pork chops, steak, salmon fillets, chicken breasts, etc). Place meat in dish to marinate. Turn meat when half of your marinating time has elapsed. Meat can be left in marinade for anywhere from 10 minutes to 3-4 hours depending on the level of flavor you want.
