I woke up this morning to gray skies and rain. The ground is soaked and the air is cold. Generally that is not what people look forward to waking up to. But, I do.
Sometimes a gray day is just what I need. Looking at the gray outside makes me feel calm, quite and reflective. I think my soul needs that every once and a while.
I like the slow vibe of a gray day. It is almost as if since I can’t see the sun I don’t feel like I have to race it like a person races the clock to get things done. The wet and the cold make it feel okay to spend the day inside, instead of out and about running from place to place in an effort to get things done. It is like a sort of forced time out from Mother Nature. I think my brain needs that every once and a while.
Besides that, my garden is going to love this nice little soak. Grow veggies, grow!
