Happy New Year. By now it’s a belated happy new year, but I’m sending happiness your way regardless.
2011.
Really? Wasn’t it just September? Wasn’t I just planning a train birthday party? Or maybe it was just March? Wasn’t I just redesigning this little space and moving on up to WordPress? No wait, it was surely just January and I was setting some goals for 2010 and getting ready to start my bread challenge. Right? What about BlogHer in August? Starting my Life List in May? Starting the Great Flooring Project of 2010 in October? I think the answer is yes to all the above questions. (Except the flooring, that actually feels like it has taken years so far. Will the project ever end?)
This past year flew by. Just as they all do. It’s now yet another January where I find myself wondering how it is the start of yet another new year and how the last year could have gone by so very quickly.
2010 was a good year in the Evolving Mommy household. 2010 was very good to us and for that I am thankful beyond words. I am so grateful for the life I have. I am so thankful for the chances I have taken this year, the love I have felt, the people I have met, and the knowledge I have gained.
I am grateful to this space. This little corner of the infinite internet. Evolving Mommy has helped me learn and grow in ways that surprise me every day. Thank you for coming here and reading the words that flow from my brain. Thank you for being so wonderful. Thank you for supporting this space where I can continue to evolve with every moment, word and intention.
There is a quote I am hoping will embody my 2011. I’ve shared a version of it here before but it begs repeating.
“…if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavours to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.” -Henry David Thoreau
It is my full intention to continue to take chances, try new things and put myself out there. 2011 will be a wonderful year. It is not a matter of hope, just a matter of knowing.
May 2011 bring you a wealth of health, love, and happiness.
