Some crazy lady ran into the back of our car a couple of weeks ago. It didn’t cause any major damage but enough that the bumper needed some TLC. So yesterday morning Luke dropped our car off at the body shop and picked up our rental car. We got our car back this evening so we took the rental back (as fast as we possibly could).
We drive a German car. I love it. .Love.It.
Its sturdy, has great handling, hugs the road and looks good.
This rental “car*” not so much. Yes I said “car” in quotes because I’m still not convinced that it was a car.
*I don’t want to name this car because it is American made and I really like the idea of a good economy and obviously me bitching about it won’t help these cars move off dealers’ lots. Not that my opinion matters all that much to the masses. All I am going to say is I felt like I was driving a big hunk of plastic…so in other words if felt really safe or something.
I hope some of billions the Big 3 are getting will be used to purchase some metal…and some new designers and engineers. I guess it’s like they say…once you go German you never go back, or something like that.
