Moms walk this odd line between living lives that are wildly different from every other mom on the planet and living lives that seem like cookie cutouts. There are so many milestones we all experience and emotions we all go through. On the flip side we look at each experience with different perspectives. We all go through the rigors of potty training or the joys of first words or steps. Yet somehow those experiences are individually unique to each of us. So we take to the internet and playgroups in search of other mothers to connect with and learn from. My experience might not be the same as yours but I might have insights to help you. My experience my be the exact same as yours and my words might be comforting.
No matter if we are the same or not, we’re all just trying to learn from each other. Every time I share something on Evolving Mommy it’s with the hopes that either I can learn something from you or you can learn something from me. We’re all evolving. We’re all learning and sharing our way through motherhood. And in that same vein I will be sharing tidbits from my journey through motherhood as a Right Start Mom on the Right Start Blog with seven other lovely writers. Hopefully – both here at Evolving Mommy and at the Right Start Blog – you’ll get doses of real life motherhood to either learn from, laugh with or commiserate with. So far I’ve shared my in depth knowledge of how to help a new mom, my undying love for buttoning my pants and my fondness for my bath tub over at the Right Start Blog. Motherhood is full of excitement so there will be plenty more to share – both here and there.
I’m so glad we have each other to learn from and laugh with – or at. Otherwise this motherhood business would be a little lonely at times.
