As always I have loved reading through your responses to the Question of the Week. The Evolving Mommy readers never fail to keep me, and hopefully each other, thinking.
This weeks question was obviously a personal one and I am very grateful to you all for sharing your personal feelings on family size and family planning.

I would wager that some of you thought you were going to get a different answer to this weeks question from me, so what do you think?

Catherine I think that was a really great answer to the question. It sounds like you really thought it through. I think that family size should be determined by each individual family. We had wanted 2 kids for our family. We had 1 and realized how much work it was (with having a c-section and nursing for 18 months) so we put it on the back burner and now we’re feeling that it is now the right time to try for another.
I totally agree, family size should not be determined by society or even mothers/mothers-in-law. 😉 It sounds like you are taking the time to listen to your gut, which is exactly what I’m doing too.
I love these questions of the week. Great blog feature. Not a completely different answer than I expected since I know you so well.
Now that you are in WordPress your feed doesn’t update for me (it still shows your post from two weeks ago) should I just re-subsrcibe and update it on my blog roll?
That may be a good idea. I transferred my feed over but for some reason it isn’t updating for some people.
I love your questions of the week, so much fun. This is a hard one. I knew I always wanted two and when my first son was close to two years old I was ready. Two kids is plenty! But I feel the same way as you. I get jealous of people being pregnant. Not about having another child {even though the possibility of maybe having a girl would be cool} but more about the pregnancy. I loved being pregnant as well. Everyone is so nice to you and I felt great! But 3 kids would put me over the edge!
I think if you are happy with one that is great!
You are so wonderful. You just gave me clarity on my feelings right about everything and I think I am the same with the pregnancy thing. So many people are pregnant around me right now or trying to get pregnant and I have been feeling a little antsy but still not thinking I wanted another child. You hit it on the head though, its the pregnancy part more than anything.
Ahhh you are such a breath of fresh air!!
THANKS
