A large and small flower cookie cutter can turn a normal lunch into a floral affair and have kids asking for more.
On the plate this week:
- Watermelon slices cut into flowers
- Grilled cheese sandwiches, made with whole wheat bread and sharp cheddar cheese, cut into flowers
- Dill Pickle “leaves”
- Homemade Pasta Fagioli Soup

That looks great. I thought you had lost your mind for a moment and gone crazy with red food color but I should have known better. Pasta fagioli soup sounds just what I need to make on my next day off.
The girls loved this one. I can’t even tell you how much watermelon they ate because it was shaped like flowers. Actually they probably would have had a lot more grilled cheese flowers if I had permitted it.
How fun! My kids love watermelon and so do the twins.
