How do you approach the fall/winter/spring germ explosion?

I look forward to hearing what you think about germs and sharing them and I’ll share my thoughts on Thursday!

Business as usual at Chez Jo. I think our society is way too paranoid about germs. How is a body supposed to build up it’s own immune system if its never exposed to anything? Getting sick (and I’m colds, sore throats, headaches and even the flu, not major illnesses) is part of life.
So just out of curiosity (and not to start an off topic debate), do you get flu shots for your family or just roll with it?

We get flu shots….because my husband tends to be the one that brings illness home from work with him.
I normally don’t go out much in the winter because of the cold….and it’s a pain to get two kids in jackets/gloves/hats and get them out the door. But now that we’re back in Colorado…I may change this up a bit.
I use hand sanitizer on the kids all the time. My husband forgets and I end up with a sick kid almost every time he takes them to the Play Thing at Burger King.
You bring up a very good point Connie, play places are gross. Germ breading grounds year round for sure.
