23 weeks. I’m just finishing up my 23rd week of pregnancy. How in the world has 23 weeks gone by so quickly? How is it already the middle of March? It seems like just the other day we shared the big news about our pending arrival and the fun gender reveal.
Baby girl is a kicking machine lately, at least until Luke or Maddy try to feel her kick then she gets stage fright and freezes in her tracks, of course. After a few weeks of packing, packing packing, moving, moving, moving, unpacking, unpacking and unpacking it all caught up to me. In other words this week left me little energy or motivation do do much besides shower and drink tea. I’ve just taken it as chance to sit on the couch and tell Luke where to hang things on the wall or how furniture should be arranged. With all this change there is good news. The good news? We love our new home and it is coming together better and faster than we could have guessed. The even better news? The weather has been beautiful and warm even though it is still winter in Colorado. This beautiful warm weather meant that I got to wear my new dress. I love dresses. Especially dresses that can be dressed up or dressed down.
My new dress from Seraphine is a perfect example of a versatile piece of clothing. Depending on my shoes and jewelry this dress could easily be dressed up for a night out or it could be perfect for a normal summer day. The fabric is soft and lightweight and the flowy cut of the skirt make me feel very feminine without feeling cutesy. I have trouble buying maternity clothes since they are only a part of my wardrobe for such a short time. I love that they deep v-neck of this dress will make it perfect for nursing after our baby girl is born. That’s a win-win right? A cute dress for now and a cute dress for later all in one cute and comfortable package. My only complaint is the length. I wish the dress was just two or three inches shorter. Although that is not too hard to fix. I mean not too hard as in have professional with sewing skills take it up for me because honestly I can’t sew a straight line to save my life.
All this unseasonably warm weather has me reaching for lightweight tops and dresses. It also has me hoping for an end to the snow and cold of winter. I’ve always lived in Colorado though so I’m not holding my breath. I know that tomorrow is just as likely to be warm like today as it is to bring 6 inches of snow and cold to go with it. Either way this baby will be here in no time.
Are you a dresses and skirts kind of girl or do you live for life in pants?
*All opinions and statements are the mine and not necessarily the views of Seraphine. I received the dress free of charge to facilitate this review.

And I LOVE the dress.
Thank you, Jen! I’m not so put together today, so I appreciate your kind words even more. 🙂

Donna
Fabulous! And congratulations on baby girl! 🙂 Maddy gets a sister, how fun is that!
You look adorable! And the dress is perfect, with heels or flippy floppies, you chose a winner!
You are glowing! Exhaustion or not you look fabulous. I am a dress girl – but ones that can be dressed down with some flip-flops and allow me to still get a bit dirty. There is one company known for outdoor gear and sustainability initiatives whose dresses I find myself wearing a lot.
