I’m sleeping in the guest room tonight.
I’ve had it up to here and I just can’t take it anymore. I just wish all this were already done and over with. What an I talking about?
The floors. I am so ready for this never ending home improvement project to actually end. So amidst all the summer hustle and bustle, travel and over-flowing calendar we dismantled our bedroom tonight. After what felt like 200,033 trips down the stairs arms loaded down with stacks of books, heavy furniture and bedding our bedroom is cleared out.
I miss my bed already. I’m not looking forward to sleeping in the guest bed. I like my bed. Actually, I guess I can’t really miss it too much since my mattress and box spring are stacked in my entryway. Every entryway and living room needs a bed right? It’s the best way to welcome guests. At least we are one step closer to finishing all this work. One step closer to living in a much less chaotic house. And one step closer to being able to say we conquered this project and then move on. Most likely to another project because Luke can’t sit still too long.

This sounds like the same type of things we do at our house. If it’s not one project it is another. What type of floors are you doing?
How long will you be stuck in the guest room? I used to love to sleep in ours (when we had one) because it was the bed from my apartment before I met my husband and it was sooo comfortable!
Hang in there…it’s going to look great!
Ugh…got to love home improvement projects…we’ve been sharing a bathroom with the boys for 2 months now….and I’m so ready to have my own space…and not continually find myself accidentally using their mr. bubble as my shampoo….you have to rinse like 12 times!
I hope things are back to “normal” soon — even though it sound like that’s bound to change!
I bet your new floors are going to be gorgeous.
