I just got a call called to tell me that two of the tires on our care are half bald. So that means our car gets four new tires and our bank account loses a huge chunk of money we were not planning on parting with.
Normally we are not the type of people to make rushed purchased. I like to think we are frugal but if I am honest with you I think we might be a little too frugal sometimes. We will spend time searching for the best deals before we buy just about anything. Not tonight. Tonight we are rushing into buying tires. I can totally think of other things I would rather rashly spend money on…shoes, plane tickets, spa days…you get the idea. Tires are just so boring, and necessary.
This whole thing started because Luke is going skiing tomorrow and wanted to get the tires balanced and rotated. I guess if I want my husband to survive the mountain drive tomorrow I buy tires today.
The thing that grates on me, besides spending so much money on such an un-fun thing, we just fixed some stuff on our car on Wednesday…when it rains it pours I guess.
