What do noodles have to do with anything?
A handful of noodles.
Two little girls determined to make something all their own.
Lots of focus and creativity.
A little bit of ribbon and a lot of patience.
A day filled with learning and creativity unbeknownst to the two year-olds in the thick of it.
Beautiful little girls end the day filled with pride in themselves over their fancy accomplishment; bright, beautiful and unique necklaces to match their shining personalities. I end a wet, cold, and gray day stuck in the house with pride in my favorite little ladies and a piece of my sanity still intact.
And that is why noodles are so very important.

oh catherine… they are so beautiful. and the necklaces are pretty, too. what little treasures.
I think that they are jewelry designers in the making! Great job…they look so proud of their creations! Did monkey sleep with hers?
Lesley- They had so much fun making these and they were so so proud of their handy work when they were finally able to wear them. Maddy did want to take hers to bed with her but I was able to talk her out of sleeping with (breakable) noodles in her bed. 🙂
great craft idea!!! I'll have to do this with the kid!
Oh … I am a dork — I need a supply list — what kind of paint did you use, how long did it take to dry, etc?
Dianna- It is pretty simple. I used large noodles that my 2 year old could easily handle, a roll of ribbon and washable paint. Washable paint may not be the most permanent choice if the noddles get wet later on but non-washable paint and a two year old don't really mix well. We painted the noodles before nap and the girls were able to thread them a few hours later.
