I don’t really have the money or time to provide actual sushi rolls for lunch for toddlers, but I can make some faux rolls and we can have a little fun with our food.
Whats on the plate:
- Turkey “Sushi” Rolls ( whole wheat bread, sliced turkey, lettuce, tomato and a touch of mustard and mayo)
- Peanut Butter “Sushi” Rolls ( whole wheat bread, peanut butter, thinly sliced banana and strawberries)
- Match stick carrots and red pepper
- Edamame

LOVE it – especially that you took the photo in the grass! So artistic!
This is awesome. Totally making these.
I can’t thank you enough for these posts. I HATE making lunch. I don’t know why but you have given me idea to make it fun.
I’ve never tried bananas and strawberries with peanut butter but it looks super yummy. I might have to try some of these with the babies this year. I bet they will like the creativity.
mmmm… looks yummy! what a great idea!!
Charlotte has a Korean video we watch where they get the kids to make fun “sushi” rolls. They give them cut up veggies and food and the kids put them in the “Kim” or seaweed wraps and wrap them. They even gave them some rice, and like you the kids got to make different kinds, pb &J, avacado rolls, bean sprouts….red bean paste. I totally forgot about it until I read this post. Love it, especially since Charlotte loves loves tortillas
