I have a few addictions right now. One of them is whole wheat pitas. Another is basil pesto. As a default Maddy and I are loving making pita pizzas for lunch. They are light and fresh, delicious and quick and easy to make. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit top your pita with your desired toppings then bake it for 3-5 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly. See easy, quick and delicious.
What’s on the plate: Fresh and Easy Pita Pizza
- Whole wheat pita topped with basil pesto, sliced fresh mozzarella, diced ham and kalamata olives.
- Lettuce with balsamic vinaigrette dressing
- Mandarin oranges
Here’s a glimpse of what’s on Mom’s plate too:
- Whole wheat pita topped with basil pesto, fresh sliced mozzarella, and sliced tomatoes
- Lettuce with pomegranate infused balsamic vinegar

Looks delicious!! I used to make these for myself, but Oscar is definitely at the age where he would love helping. And he LOVES olives. Must try!
I don’t think my kiddos would be willing to go in that direction, but Mom’s plate looks delicious!
Great idea for something that’s yummy, healthy and that my kids will eat. I’m a sucker for anything with balsamic in/on it.
I’m a huge fan of whole wheat pita too. This looks healthy and so delicious. I’ll have to try it. I’m stopping by from The Tribe
