I’ll admit it. I’m probably not someone you would call super fashionable. I actually described my style to a friend recently as “classic teacher mom chic.” I don’t know what that means besides liking dark wash boot cut jeans, simple sweaters and all things Banana Republic.
Even though I am not as fashionable as some people I do like clothes and accessories. The issue is that I am lazy about actually using accessories for one thing. Well lately I have been accessorizing myself almost daily. Does it matter that my accessorizing is mostly limited to one type of accessory? Not to me.

So what is your fashion obsession? Of at the very least what is a staple that you go back to again and again?

I wear scarves, but more than anything, I wear bracelets.
For a long time the only accessories I felt comfortable wearing were bracelets or watches. There was something a little more subtle about them to me. Admittedly I was always picking very understated and simple bracelets and watches. I bet you have some really cute bracelets, Jo!
I’m not sure if it’s an obsession, but I’m totally digging on canvas Chucks these days. I had a pair of white for the summer, but have moved into a pair of gray for fall, as well as a pair of red when I’m needing a little shot of attitude. I’m not a shoe person at all, flip flops are my thing, but these are fun, and relatively cheap at Target.
Where else? 😉
I love scarves! It hasn’t got quite cold enough to wear them all day but I bet will soon. My favorite scarves are from Old Navy. I do struggle with finding ones that are lightweight and short enough for all day wear. Some of my scarves are too long and bulky for anything more than outer wear. My kids bought me a great reversible black, gray cotton scarf with no fringe for my last birthday (I think from Old Navy) that is perfect for plane rides or anywhere inside that may get a little chilly. I can use it almost like a wrap instead of a scarf and it is perfect.
