It’s time for me to pick your brain again, which has a whole new meaning when talking about Halloween. No I’m not talking pick your brain in the zombie sort of way. Although that might be entertaining, if it weren’t your brains I was picking. It’s only funny if someone else is getting attacked by zombies.
How is that for getting off track? It’s probably all that Halloween candy I have ingested in the past 36 hours. Really, I want to know your thoughts on this weeks question of the week…

I’ll share my thoughts on Thursday as usual. I look forward to hearing your thoughts and advice!

With my kids, they get two pieces a day. And I totally use that to my advantage. I use it to get them eat all the ‘yucky’ stuff from their dinner plate and/or if they pick up toys.
Basically I used their candy as a way for them to do my bidding. 😉
1 piece max a day purely at my discretion. So if I am in a bad mood no candy, lol. I also go through and pull out the yucky stuff and put in the trash. Fortunately all the candy that Nadine got was bite size. My nephew got 200 full size candy bars. Now that would take some dealing with.
We went to the Farmers Market on Sunday and at each stall Boo was asked if she wanted a piece of candy before she could open her mouth to answer I shouted NO! Yep I am mean.
I’m saying NO a lot right now.
We let them have one piece a day and it has to be some time after they have eaten a meal. We’re also getting the requests before breakfast!
Also, I removed and ate the full sized candy bars…..
My house is candy crazed as well. Halloween day I was more lax, they probably had 10-12 pieces total over the entire day. After that it is 1-2 pieces per day, depending upon size. After dinner, not before breakfast, although even my big kids have asked several times just for 1 piece before breakfast. Sometimes they wear me down but usually I do not have a problem saying no.
Also usually the good candy aka chocolate gets eaten within a couple weeks and then we still have candy around forever. Anything left by Christmas is thrown in the trash because Santa brings them candy in their stockings and the old has to go.
