We are kind of into butterflies around here lately. We have season passes to the Butterfly Pavillion here in Colorado and on top of making several visits to see the butterflies we have been checking out lots of butterfly books from the library too. Well, what better way to follow up a letter B is for Butterfly activity than with a letter C is for Caterpillar activity.
Supplies to Make Letter C Caterpillars
- construction paper
- colorful pom poms
- school glue
- crayons
- googly eyes
- 1 large artificial leaf, about 4 inches across or so (optional)
How to Make Letter C Caterpillars
Step 1.Have you or your child trace the large artificial leaf onto the paper. This can be done as many times as you would like or as many times as the leaf will fit on the sheet. If you do not have a leaf to trace you can draw them freehand.
Step 2. Color in the leaf or add lines to make it look more real.
Step3. Draw large one large letter C on each leaf.
Step 4. Trace the letter C in school glue then place pom poms along the line of glue. Make sure the pom poms are close to each other so they form one continuous line.
Step 5. Decide which end of each caterpillar is the head then glue googly eyes onto the head.
