It’s answer time. Well, my time to answer at least. This weeks question was about travel and what you do as a parent to prepare your family and home for when you travel and the family stays at home.
As I type this I am sitting in my hotel room in San Diego, CA. So you could say this question was as real life and up to date for me as they come. Thanks to those of you who shared your point of view on the original question. For those of you who have not yet shared your opinion it’s not too late.

So what do you think? Do you agree with me? Do you disagree with me? Am I crazy to even ponder this subject?
As always thanks for sharing your opinions and thoughts!

Great answer! I think a lot of parenting is like this, at first you want to help hubby out and make sure everything is in line but eventually you realize he can handle it just fine.
That being said I still pack for our entire family of 5 anytime we travel because I am a bit of a control freak. Last trip I gave the kids some guidelines, let them lay out everything, then just check what they chose. This weekend for their sleepover with my FIL I gave them some guidelines and didn’t check and both girls forgot their swimsuits, oops!

I don’t do anything before a trip anymore either. It’s less stress on EVERYONE.
I use to get things ready for camping. Then I let kids pack. Then we had to go to the check list. I could be assured that they would have plenty of socks and other hot and cold clothes.
One time when I let my son pack he did not add socks and we had to buy socks for camping.
My husband did not really help the kids pack, however he did get many other things packed.
Great outlook! love it…..!!!
It is always so great to let go and have your spouse take over. I hope you enjoyed your trip.
