Kids traveling brought out the opinions and discussion this week. As always I appreciate your thoughts on this one. I don’t think anyone person was right or wrong. Every person’s point of view was interesting and obviously colored with their experiences which is why I love asking these questions. By throwing questions out there we all learn from each other and gain a bit of perspective too.

I think I laid out my opinion and reasons in your question post earlier in the week. I definitely remember being the mom of the little one and feeling that way but being 8 years further down the line I really, truly say if it is with a trusted family member, I think she would be fine. And while you would probably hate having her gone from you, she would have a blast. If there were any problems the family member with her could certainly handle it.
I am curious on what Luke’s thoughts on the subject are because I definitely used to feel the same way as you but time and as my kids have gotten older has influenced me but the biggest influence has been Nate telling me to stop worrying and stop smothering and the kids will be fine! I don’t like to hear it but I know he is right. Thank Goodness our children have both of us, our parenting styles and personalities compliment each other so well that they get a middle of the road approach on most things, which is best.
